530 nanometres.

Green light sits at about 530 nanometres. We named our matcha after it: the bright green we want in the cup. A name, not a lab measurement.

02Harvest

First harvest, shade-grown.

Picked in spring from shaded plants. The young leaves are the greenest and the sweetest.

03Origin

Aichi, Japan.

Grown in Aichi. The cultivar is printed on every bag.

Ceremonial grade.

Tested for heavy metals.

In September 2026 the French consumer magazine Que Choisir tested seven matchas sold in France. All contained aluminium, and four were above the reference value of France's food safety agency for a 70 kg adult drinking one cup a day. LouJi™ 530nm was not part of that test. Read the article
